MPhil at FBS
The MPhil program at the FBS faculty is designed for aspiring researchers who want to develop strong analytical skills, deepen subject expertise, and engage in meaningful academic inquiry — guided by rigorous research standards and a tradition of scholarly excellence.
The MPhil is a research degree for aspiring scholars — a program of rigorous coursework and supervised thesis work that builds strong analytical skills and deep subject expertise. Candidates complete five MBA courses as coursework before advancing to their thesis under the direct supervision of FBS faculty.
For researchers whose work merits it, the MPhil offers a pathway into the PhD: candidates with a CGPA of 3.75 or above may convert to the doctoral program.

Admission & Eligibility
For graduates with a research agenda
Candidates must hold a Master's degree with at least a second class or division, or a CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) from a recognized university.
Applicants submit a research synopsis with their application, and are considered by the department in which they propose to conduct their research.
